HOWDY Y’ALL!

I’m Amanda, owner of The Moody Heifer Boutique, located in Moodys, Oklahoma. I started MHB in 2021 when I had an idea that I wanted to start making livestock car freshies. I’ve been around agriculture my whole life, I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Oklahoma with my parents, sister, grandparents and great grandparents. We were always doing something on the farm, whether it was growing crops, milking cows or running beef cows. I was very active in 4H, and later FFA exhibiting swine, crafts, and various crops in our county fairs.

In 2007 I married my husband Jason, who was active-duty Air Force. He had been stationed at various military bases around the world. After our wedding our first base together was Altus Air Force Base where we spent a short year and welcomed our first child, Aiden. Jason re-enlisted and we were shipped off to our next base, F.E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We’d spend the next five years at this base, surviving several TDYs, deployment, and snowstorms. Our other two children were born at this base, Avery and Adysen. Our family was complete, but we decided that we missed our farm life and our family. After some serious thoughts about our future, we decided that we’d make the decision to end Jason’s time in the military after his enlistment was up and return home to Oklahoma. We’ve been back home since 2012 and live in our farmhouse with twenty acres surrounded by our family’s land. We have two French bulldogs, Tank and Stella, and the boss our Chihuahua Ms. Kissy.

Together, Jason and I run and manage The Moody Heifer. It is hard work, but worth it. We love our customers. We love getting to know them, and what kind of livestock families they are. We were so blessed to offer our first ever MHB essay contest this year and award a winner a grand prize of $5oo to go towards their next livestock project. We are so proud and amazed of the growth our business has had, but even more importantly blessed with customers that have become friends. We love to give back to the AG community because hands down, we know that is the very best community out there. We love to set up at livestock shows and meet our customers in person. Our favorite show is the Oklahoma Youth Expo, in OKC. Thank you for being a part of our business, we truly couldn’t do it without you!
